About Notes from Clerkenwell

Notes from Clerkenwell is written by a Clerkenwell dweller and lover.

If you haven't stumbled across it, Clerkenwell is a neighbourhood of London buried somewhere around Smithfield Market, Islington, Holborn and the City.

Why focus a blog on such a small area? Because it's ancient, modern, fascinating, village-y, and a thoroughfare for all kinds of life.

And because writing a blog gives me chance to stick my nose into the whys and wherefores of the streets I walk down every day.
